Description

Key Performance Area:

Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in section.
Clean, maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment as directed by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.
Conduct regular plant and steel structures inspections.
Carry out workshop fabrication, equipment assembly and installation.
Complete breakdown and preventive maintenance work orders, create subsequent notifications, and provide feedback on work performed.
Attain and maintain relevant licences and authorisations required to operate plants to Industrial safety and emission standards.
Be responsible for a manufacturing plant and overseeing semi-skilled workers in other plants.
Do standby in the evenings and over weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / N3 and Red Seal Fitter Trade certificate
4 years appropriate experience
Computer literacy
Driver's licence
Boiler making experience an advantage.
