Our retail client based in the East Rand is looking for a National IT Manager to join their dynamic team


Minimum requirements:


  • Minimum of 810 years of relevant IT Management experience
  • Bachelors Agree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS, Remote Desktop Service, SQL Server, IIS, and Microsoft Exchange, including High Availability and Disaster
  • Recovery experience for the aforementioned technologies
  • Experience operating a VMware Private Cloud, current VMware Certification preferred
  • Extensive experience with Sophos Firewalls, Mikrotik Routers, Velocloud SDWAN, Unifi Wif, and related technologies, such as multicast routing, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools like Zabbix and Grafana
  • Solid understanding of the principles of ITIL
  • Experience with automation tools, such as PDQ, System Centre, MDT, and WDS
  • Experience with Exchange, Microsoft365, and Mimecast
  • Experience with System Design, Network Administration, and Problem-Solving
  • Experience with Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 36
  • Ability to lead and manage a decentralized team effectively
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills
  • Willingness to travel to Durban, Cape Town, and within Gauteng
  • Willingness to work outside regular working hours for maintenance, changes, and projects

Key responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Develop and implement a data strategy plan to deliver on strategic business outcomes
  • Manage all IT expenditure in line with budget
  • Ensure company data management practices are compliant with relevant regulations and best practices
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures
  • Oversee IT security management to protect the organization from threats
  • Managing IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and desired outcomes
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and SQL database
  • Ensure proper backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures are in place
  • Design, administer, and troubleshoot network and system infrastructure
  • Coordinate with vendors to improve efficiency and support ongoing operations
  • Maintain the Company's Private Cloud and National WAN
  • Provide afterhours support as needed
