Responsibilities and roles:


  • Assist Inbound department in final quality control measures
  • Good working knowledge of hardware specifications to laptops, PC's and related equipment
  • Perform BIOS upgrades across various OEM's encompassing laptop, PC's and related equipment
  • Inspect equipment from returns for aesthetic defects, hardware configuration and OS setup
  • Update AP, Blancco and related spreadsheets with details of assessed equipment
  • Perform equipment maintenance when required
  • Ensure all equipment is assessed to order specification
  • Assist other areas and departments when required, may be out of normal work scope

Skills and experience:


  • A+ beneficial
  • Minimum 25 year's experience in a related IT warehouse or quality control environment
  • Be adaptable to dynamic work situations, work and cope under pressure
  • Self
- starter, highly motivated and dependable

  • Good hardware knowledge across various OEM brands and laptop/PC's/Tablet devices
  • Working knowledge on Apple Mac products and basic MAC OS knowledge advantageous
  • Excellent software knowledge on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10, 11. Including MS Office. Setting up drivers, installing and configuring OS.
  • Attention to work detail very important
  • High work ethic and ability to work unattended
  • Maintain and look company assets
  • Good communication skills
  • Neat and presentable

General attributes:

Ø In good health and no physical barriers that could inhibit work and abilities to perform required duties

Ø Be physically capable to move equipment around; lift/carry/move etc

Ø Preferably non-smoker

Ø Work in a dynamic warehouse environment where noise, dust and constant change in daily scheduled is required

Ø Not scared to take on responsibility

Ø Be able to work overtime on short notice and committed to do so when asked

Ø Work well in a team environment to contribute to overall company success

Ø Be flexible to assist other areas of concern when support functions not required


Salary:
R10,000.00 per month
