Health and Safety Consultant - Rosebank, South Africa - Atlas Finance
Description
Job purpose:
To develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines in order to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Accountable Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and inspections in the branches and departments on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the company is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation at all times.
- Schedule and execute audits on site to identify areas of improvement and implement measures as required.
- Have first line responsibility for incident investigations, including but not limited to investigating, making initial recommendations and putting measures in place to prevent reoccurrence.
- Plan and implement OHS policies, programs and advise and lead employees on various safetyrelated topics.
Competency and qualification requirements:
- National Diploma in Environment Health
- OHS or Equivalent
- Certificate in First Aid Training and Certificate in Fire Marshall Training
- National Compliance and Risk Qualifications (NCRQ)
- Team management
- 3 years' experience in Health & Safety in workplace and Legislation
- Valid Driver's License
- Computer literacy at an advanced level
Ability to Commute:
- Rosebank, Gauteng (required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Rosebank, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (required)
