Role Overview


The overall function of this role is to assume responsibility for the accuracy of all marketing materials such as design layouts, printed collateral, digital and social media content.

Live and breathe client CI and to quality check all content in terms of spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation before it is despatched to clients or repro.


Duties

  • Check client service briefs against client supplied copy for accuracy of spelling, grammar, language and descriptions and query client copy with client service when something is not clear or words/figures do not make sense
  • Ensure all information is logical and articulates the message well
  • Identify any inconsistencies
  • Ensure all style and branding guidelines / corporate identity are adhered to
  • Ensure all necessary information and legal disclaimers are present and accurate as well as any other information such as phone numbers, offer disclaimers, pricing etc
  • Proof read all creative work and ensure all client revisions have been applied and any reverts checked again before final despatch
  • Stay abreast with client communication standards and styles to uphold brand and product integrity
  • Always verifying accuracy of information

Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in English or similar is a must:

years agency experience in proof reading, editing and/or translation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Possesses good strategic and communication thinking skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently and efficiently within strict deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fastpace environment
