Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team on a half-day basis.

As a bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our company.

This position offers a flexible work schedule, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments effectively.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including management of invoicing, payments, reconciliations, payroll journals and stock control

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.

Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, trial balance, income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Submit SARS PAYE/UIF/SDL returns timeously

Submit VAT reports to financial accountant

Provide support during audits and tax filings.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.

Proficiency in using Pastel software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Prioritize confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately.
