Ignite Fitness is on the search for a fitness fanatic with astute business acumen, extensive expertise in managing the day-to-day operational requirements of fitness club's and knowledge of revenue generation within the sector, gained either locally or internationally, to assist the company in achieving extra-ordinary results and to maintain the standard of excellence that our customer base has become accustomed to.


The ideal incumbent for the role will take accountability for the company's various fitness club's situated in the Western Cape and Gqeberha regions.


Role Description:


To have a fully staffed team, that are continually trained and competent with the various skills required to represent Ignite Fitness in the Club's marketplace.

Ensure that the general overall operations of the various clubs are running smoothly while contributing to revenue growth.

1.

Managing Effectiveness:


  • Create a culture of performance excellence
  • Manage and Maintain the region's headcount
  • Manage and support the staff in all departments within the clubs
  • Managing all financial aspects of the business unit.
  • Delivering superior member service according to the Company's Brand standards
  • Maintaining quality facilities and equipment.
  • Managing human resources to achieve company objectives in accordance with the Company's HR policies and Code of Conduct

Fitness Support and Productivity:


  • Provide a Company / club Induction as required by the company.
  • Ensure that all Job descriptions, rental contracts, Code of Conduct (Company Handbook) and customer training is set across all key related areas are met with a handson approach. (In detail inspection, continued onjob feedback and clear consistent focus on customer expectations and brand differentiating points).
  • Conduct staff appraisals quarterly and develop individual development plan
  • All staff /GEX in respect of KPIS and deliverables, and measurement thereof
  • Support and assist with achieving targets set out by the business

  • Ensure required training programs are in place to maintain and upskill on required skills sets
  • Identify individual, basic job developmental areas and set up training and coaching to improve performance.

Operations:


  • Ensuring facilities are well maintained and abide by health and safety protocols
  • Ensuring facilities are cleaned as per cleaning standards
  • Manage consistency of brand standards across all clubs in their region
  • Assess base dynamics and create strategies to increase usage
  • Ensure a hotlist of staff for all areas of the business
  • Foster a culture of success within the region
  • Reward and recognize top achievers within the region
  • Create and Implement strategies to increase operational revenue
  • Broker deals to ensure operational revenue is achieved across the region, particularly with studio /space rental
  • Manage disputes that may arise from tenancy and contractors
  • Manage cost effectiveness with utilities and other services
  • Ensure purchasing is optimized through sourcing for quality at best prices
  • Keep abreast with the latest fitness trends
  • Address member queries and requests according to company policies and standards
  • Provide solutions to member queries and complaints based on company policy
  • Provide support and training for all departments in order to ensure Ignite Fitness staff
  • Implement and monitor member retention strategies
  • Comply with the legal requirements of the OHSA.
  • Manage the implementation of Brand and Cleaning standards
  • Ensure club visits are conducted as per agreed by the COO
  • Manage and Market of Ignition packs within the club
  • Meet and achieve the Ignition pack budget for each month
  • Create and implement strategies to ensure PT's commercial sustainability within the clubs
  • Manage all PTs posters are up in the club and PT are involved in members induction
  • Meet and achieve PT set budget for each month
  • Meet and achieve other ancillary revenue such as café rentals, venue hire and other fitness product sales budgets set for each month

4.

Administration:


  • Ensure the onboarding packs and induction for all new joiners adheres to the company policy and procedures
  • Compile all relevant reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure that all company policy and procedures including all Administration procedures are adhered to
  • Control income against budget
