Logistics Operations Controller (Night Shift)

Location:
Bellville

Position Type:
Full-time, Night Shift (7pm - 7am - might be shorter at times)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Operations Controller to join our team.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Logistics Coordination:

Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods to meet delivery schedules.
Monitor and optimize the routing of vehicles to ensure costeffective and timely deliveries.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.

2.

Inventory Management:

Track and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
Implement strategies to minimize holding costs while maintaining optimal stock levels.

3.

Communication and Reporting:

Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Generate and analyze reports related to key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

4.

Problem Resolution:

Proactively identify and address logistics issues, such as delays or disruptions, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.

5.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Implement and enforce company policies related to logistics and transportation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field would be beneficial.
Proven experience in logistics operations, with a focus on coordination and optimization.
Any experience with cold storage would be highly advantageous.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of logistics management software and tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.

Working Hours:

This is a night shift position
