610 years' experience within a Clearing and Forwarding Company with Cross border experience and local road
Freight experience operationally and sales and target driven
Generating and QC of estimates to clients
Receive new orders placed by client
Register the shipment check documents and liaise with clearing agents
Determine mode of shipment cargo and need for special transport requirements
Liaison with overseas and regional offices regarding shipment
Follow up with the client or the overseas office on shipping documentation
Liaison with service providers and other office/s once the shipment is registered to confirm departure/loading details
Ensure that cargo is collected and ready for carriage ensure that cargo is correctly labelled, packaged and packed
Prepare documentation and ensure other offices submit to the Customs Department (as and when required)
Follow up on customs releases, stops, detains and inform the client accordingly
Once released from Customs, give SARS release with relevant documentation to the transporter in order to arrange delivery
Preparation of cost estimates and doublechecking client invoices generated by regional offices
Checking invoices against estimates
Update client on all delivery dates via tracking reports
Ensure correct documents accompany the delivery of cargo
Ensure that POD is received from transporter
Regular liaison with clients
Follow up on road freight shipments
