Description

Our client, an established apple and pear farming company in the EGVV area, requires an energetic Farm Manager for its 55 ha of orchards on 2 farms near Villiersdorp.

_ A permanent position with a competitive salary and housing is offered._

Responsibilities:

Managing all facets of the production of pome fruit with emphasis on quality and implementation of best farming practices
Building motivated teams to ensure production efficiency
Irrigation management (35 ha of micro +20 ha of drip)
Area Administration and record keeping

Requirements:

Relevant agricultural qualification
Knowledge and experience of Pome fruit production as well as 5 years' experience in a similar position
Strong organizational and labour management skills
The ability to communicate effectively on all levels
Ability to work independently and manage detail
Dynamic and innovative team player
