  • Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 2 Years' experience in Centre lathe and Milling machines
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry/environment would be advantageous.
  • Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
  • Demonstrating turning (lathe) practicals to students
  • Guide students in using of lathe and other machines in the workshop.
  • Maintenance and repair of lathes other machines in the workshop
  • Purchasing of workshop consumables
  • Support research work and supervise work in the Fitting and Turning workshop.
  • Budgeting and planning sessions for the section
  • Administering of stock and assisting in the management of the components in the workshop.
  • Enforce workshop safety
