Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2 Years' experience in Centre lathe and Milling machines
Experience in the manufacturing industry/environment would be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Demonstrating turning (lathe) practicals to students
Guide students in using of lathe and other machines in the workshop.
Maintenance and repair of lathes other machines in the workshop
Purchasing of workshop consumables
Support research work and supervise work in the Fitting and Turning workshop.
Budgeting and planning sessions for the section
Administering of stock and assisting in the management of the components in the workshop.
Enforce workshop safety

Competencies
