Description

Matric/ Grade 12;
Avionics industry experience essential
Comms protocols - RS232, Ethernet
Understand Avionics instruments and interconnections.
Ability to read and understand complex wiring diagrams;
Understand wiring conventions i.e., AWG size ratings
Good knowledge of electrical circuits;
Attention to detail imperative.
Fault finding;
Specialised installations and retrofitting;
Use wiring diagrams to build harnesses for all parts of the aircraft;
Correct use of tools and wiring conventions when stripping, crimping, terminating and connecting connectors or wire to wire;
Initial installation of common instruments and looms into aircraft;
Fitting of lights and other components into aircraft;
Fitting and connecting lights on wings and tail tips;
Wiring of panels according to the wiring diagrams.
