Position of the job in the organisation:


Principal responsibilities:


Assist with Technical Legal Applications & Registrations:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations about the solar industry, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to gather necessary documentation and information.
  • Stay informed about changes in legal requirements and update internal procedures accordingly.
Assist with Policy Development and Implementation

  • Assist with creating and revising compliance policies and procedures to reflect both legal requirements and organizational culture.
  • Assist with implementing the compliance policies and procedures.
Assist with Compliance Audits, Inspections and Risk Assessments

  • Support internal and external compliance audits.
  • Identify compliance risks and assist with the development of risk management strategies to mitigate them.
Regulatory Monitoring and Updates

  • Keep abreast of laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the organization's operations.
  • Assist with regularly review and update the company's compliance program to adapt to new or revised regulations and guidelines
Provide Compliance Training and Awareness

  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees about compliance requirements.
  • Organize and lead training sessions

PERSON DESCRIPTION

Experience:


Specific attributes:


  • Bachelor's degree in law, business or related field
  • 12 years of experience
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of compliance principles and practices.

Desirable attributes:


  • Previous experience in the solar industry
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using productivity software and other relevant tools

What Does Success Look Like?

By Month 3:


  • Familiarity with solar industry technical legal submissions regulations and processes. Familiarity with internal SAE policies and procedures.

By Month 6:


  • Complete understanding of regulations and internal SAE policies.
  • Ongoing audits and inspections as well as driving improvement.
  • Ongoing improvement of compliance policies, procedures and management system documents
  • Establish effective partnerships through comprehensive engagement with the municipalities.

By Month 12:


  • Successfully fulfilling my roles and responsibilities.
  • Contributed to longterm compliance strategies aligned with objectives.
