Position of the job in the organisation:
Principal responsibilities:
Assist with Technical Legal Applications & Registrations:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations about the solar industry, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to gather necessary documentation and information.
- Stay informed about changes in legal requirements and update internal procedures accordingly.
- Assist with creating and revising compliance policies and procedures to reflect both legal requirements and organizational culture.
- Assist with implementing the compliance policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Identify compliance risks and assist with the development of risk management strategies to mitigate them.
- Keep abreast of laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the organization's operations.
- Assist with regularly review and update the company's compliance program to adapt to new or revised regulations and guidelines
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees about compliance requirements.
- Organize and lead training sessions
PERSON DESCRIPTION
Experience:
Specific attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in law, business or related field
- 12 years of experience
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of compliance principles and practices.
Desirable attributes:
- Previous experience in the solar industry
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using productivity software and other relevant tools
What Does Success Look Like?
By Month 3:
- Familiarity with solar industry technical legal submissions regulations and processes. Familiarity with internal SAE policies and procedures.
By Month 6:
- Complete understanding of regulations and internal SAE policies.
- Ongoing audits and inspections as well as driving improvement.
- Ongoing improvement of compliance policies, procedures and management system documents
- Establish effective partnerships through comprehensive engagement with the municipalities.
By Month 12:
- Successfully fulfilling my roles and responsibilities.
- Contributed to longterm compliance strategies aligned with objectives.
