HOD:
Crucible Operations work in a variety of settings, depending on the industry they work within
- The
HOD:
Crucible Operations will have an Operations Supervisor to assist with certain functions
- Responsibilities:
- Manage Crucible Making, Crucible Shaping, Crucible Firing, Packing, Milling, Logistics, Quality Inspection and Crucible warehouse management.
- Manage a team of employees.
- Ensure adequate stock from production for the planned deliveries.
- Ensure all orders are packed and wrapped according to TNC requirements.
- Verify delivery notes and ensure products and quantity scheduled for delivery correspond with the delivery and record it on the control sheet.
- Complete regular inspections on all vehicles, forklifts, and frontend loaders, dryers, kiln and other operational equipment.
- Ensure stock count every Monday and every month end. Monitoring and ordering stock as required for production.
- Oversee the activities of the following departments:
- 1) Milling
- 2) Crucible Making
- Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate
- Operational management courses
- Supervisor development training
- Performance Evaluation
- Experience:
- Proven work experience in an Operations position
- Experience in implementing operational processes.
- Good working knowledge of operational procedures and policies.
- Strong project management, administrative management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Assertive & committed.
