Crucible Operations work in a variety of settings, depending on the industry they work within

  • The

HOD:
Crucible Operations will have an Operations Supervisor to assist with certain functions

  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage Crucible Making, Crucible Shaping, Crucible Firing, Packing, Milling, Logistics, Quality Inspection and Crucible warehouse management.
  • Manage a team of employees.
  • Ensure adequate stock from production for the planned deliveries.
  • Ensure all orders are packed and wrapped according to TNC requirements.
  • Verify delivery notes and ensure products and quantity scheduled for delivery correspond with the delivery and record it on the control sheet.
  • Complete regular inspections on all vehicles, forklifts, and frontend loaders, dryers, kiln and other operational equipment.
  • Ensure stock count every Monday and every month end. Monitoring and ordering stock as required for production.
  • Oversee the activities of the following departments:


  • 1) Milling

  • 2) Crucible Making
  • Qualifications:


  • National Senior Certificate

  • Operational management courses
  • Supervisor development training
  • Performance Evaluation
  • Experience:
  • Proven work experience in an Operations position
  • Experience in implementing operational processes.
  • Good working knowledge of operational procedures and policies.
  • Strong project management, administrative management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Assertive & committed.
  • Personal & Professional experience:
  • Must be a team player and able to work in a group
