5* Luxury in Botswana seeks a Touring Consultant to be based at their offices in Cape Town.Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Quoting, managing and making tour operating bookings including flights, transfers, restaurant reservations, as well as accommodation bookings.
- Help clients and agents identify the ideal travel itinerary based on their plans and requirements
- Regularly maintain a good relationship with our clients and agents.
- Provide all relevant and essential information to the clients regarding their travel.
- Sell the appropriate tour package to the right client.
- Negotiate any customisations or modifications requested and accommodate to the best level possible.
- Resolve any problem that arises regarding the trip for the client.
- Actively try to reach sales and revenue targets.
- Stay up to date on domestic and international travel trends as well as products.
- Respond to inquiries about our Company's services and offerings.
- Make lodge reservations for FIT's and groups, preparing rate proposals and following up on the business to ensure revenue.
- Assist with and maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
- Reviewing, monitoring and revising guest service standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all quotations are followed up on a regular basis in order to ensure maximum revenue.
- Creating and managing all travel logistics and file handling, including financial aspects.
- Support the reservations team as well as provide after hours coverage if required.
- Assist with related duties as and when required by management.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Destination knowledge, including accommodation, transfers and flights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- High level of computer literacy.
- The ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
- The ability to work well within a team environment and without supervision.
- Attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and mannerisms required.
- Team and goal orientated.
