Requirements:


  • Grade 12 plus occupational certificate, Housing certificate or
National Diploma

  • Up to eight (8) years' relevant experience of which five (5) years of
supervisory experience is essential

  • Knowledge of relevant Housing Legislation; policies, procedure
  • Project management experience
  • Good public relations, communication and report writing skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Valid Code B driver's licence

Key Performance Areas

  • Coordinate the administrative functions and operational activities
related to tenancy management of City rental stock of a specified

area

  • Manage, coordinate and monitor the administrative
implementation of national, provincial and local government

housing policies and programmes

  • Manage and coordinate communications to external and internal
stakeholders on rental stock related matters

  • Manage the effective compliance of lease conditions linked to the
City's rental stock portfolio

  • Manage, coordinate and execute various general administrative
functions linked to tenancy management to ensure optimal service

delivery

  • Manage the implementation of financial controls, link to cost centre
management

  • Manage, supervise and train staff
  • Manage contract management
  • Manage and coordinate projects linked to tenancy management
  • Monitor and provide input into upgrade and maintenance
programmes of rental stock in a specific area

  • Manage and control fixed and movable assets linked to a housing
office

  • Manage and coordinate information communication and ensure
proper record management

  • Manage the implementation of the national subsidy programme
