Reporting to:
Shift QC Coordinator- The Online Quality Controller is responsible for checking, verifying, and monitoring of packing lines and processing


Key Job Functions:


  • Conduct calibration/verification of lab measuring equipment as per schedule (pH meter, scales, auto titrator, etc.)
  • Online quality controls of all packed products.

Daily analytical testing of WIP/online product for:

  • pH, Acid, Brix, Salt, Viscosity, Consistency, SG, Sensory evaluation (Appearance, colour, texture & taste) and any other analytical testing deemed necessary by management.
  • Verification/testing of cleaning chemicals.
  • Verify processing hygiene and sanitation of cooking pots, holding tanks, transfer pipes, packing lines, portable equipment and utensils used for the processing of products, including monitoring and rectifying CIP and COP deficiencies during a cleaning process using ATP/allergen swabs as an aid.
  • Take microbiological swabs after CIP and submit to the micro lab for analysis.
  • Completion of all required analytical records and any other documentation deemed necessary by management.
  • Investigate out of specification results and conduct retests as necessary. This may include batch audits in the factory.
  • Raise nonconformance advice when nonconformances occur, Place nonconforming stock on hold, follow up and close off.
  • Verification of CCP/OPRP Online and at processing
  • Hourly sampling of the finished product for retention samples
  • Weigh or measure the finished products to ensure they are within finished goods weight/volume.
  • Submission of final product micro samples.
  • Assist in continuous training of new quality personnel in meeting quality & food safety standards.
  • Assist in implementation of new quality and/or food safety standards when new products are introduced.
  • Daily submission of online production records as per packed product release record
  • Participate in audit preparations and during audits
    Inherent Requirements

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required:


  • ND Food technology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Total Quality Management
  • 1 year experience in the industry or related fields
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Ability to influence.
  • Resilient
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills.
  • Good admin skills
