Role Purpose/Business Unit:


The incumbent should have a strong financial background and good project management knowledge as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry.

To increase the available time and agility of the TechOps Executive Head to focus his time, effort and priorities on strategic initiatives.

To act as liaison between TechOps and other stakeholders both internal and external.
To be responsible for all the reporting needs within TechOps to integrate into the leadership, EXCO and board reports.
To assist TechOps with various functions ranging from pro-active financial analysis to business project management.


Your responsibilities will include:


Business Intelligence

  • Understand the BI tools available and being able to obtain relevant information from the various source systems.
  • Conduct and analyse financial performance and indicators per segment against main competitors and industry standards.
  • Understand TechOps processes.
  • Monitor progress against assigned strategic initiatives and deliverables.
  • Report on deviations that could derail the achievements against targets.

Support the TechOps Executive

  • Ensure ontime and within budget the TechOps deliverables.
  • Lead world class measurement and improvement model for the analytical and operational teams across MAST.
  • Manage creation of consistent and integrated improvement.
  • Resolve problems and mediate disputes before it is escalated to TechOps Executive Head.
  • Facilitate the dissemination and receipt of key information by working closely TechOps leadership team.
  • Represent the TechOps in meetings and action decisions/deliverables as mandated from time to time.

Financial Review and Analysis

  • Prepare executive summaries and updates on expenditure/cost against deliverables.
  • Proactively engage with TechOps leadership on operational and reporting items as required from time to time.
  • Monitor the implementation of cost saving initiatives.

The Ideal candiddate for this role will have:


Must have Technical and Professional Qualifications and Experience:


  • Matric / Grade 12 essential
  • Minimum of 3year relevant Degree or National Diploma is essential.
  • Business related courses completed is essential.
  • Minimum of 35 years of relevant experience.
  • Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a corporate environment
