Description

Manufacturing & Engineering Client based in Boksburg on the East Rand is seeking a Draughtsman (Mechanical) to join their team.

Requirements & experience:

6 + years working experience within a mechanical drawing office
3D parametric software (Preferably Autodesk Inventor)
Have been exposed to or have some mechanical workshop experience
Have used / can use QC equipment
Experience with Reverse Engineering

The role in brief:

Reverse engineering of client products for repair or reproduction
Create engineering drawings for artisans on the workshop floor and QC department
Design and oversee the manufacture of jigs to aid production
Assist in the accurate archiving of company drawings

The importance of efficiency and problem-solving in a methodical and logical approach
Understand the value of attention to detail and accuracy
Being a team player, albeit a small but growing team
Having exposure to mechanical workshops and using various QC equipment
