Description
Our client a Consulting Engineering Company is recruiting a Junior Environmental Scientist for their office in Cape Town.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compilation of reports (basic assessments, scoping reports, environmental impact assessments, audit reports, etc.)
  • Assistance with daytoday administration of projects, including public participation associated with projects.
  • Planning and completing environmental audits.
  • Undertaking onsite environmental monitoring, training and guidance to contractors.
  • Review of contractors' Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements.
  • Compiling proposals and project reports.
  • General office and project related admin if required.

Requirements:


  • A Degree (BSc or B-Tech) in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Project (advantageous).
  • At least 25 years' post qualification experience in the environmental impact assessment and monitoring field.
  • Own Vehicle
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel (where required)
